"After two terms, I decided to stop because I believe it's time to contribute differently to the sport of tomorrow. I want to avoid overstaying my welcome," said Laura Georges, a member of the executive committee and secretary general at the Fédération Française de Football, to News Tank Football on 12/11/2024.

The former international player (188 caps for the French women's senior team), who joined the FFF when Noël Le Graët was elected president on 18/03/2017 (re-elected on 13/03/2021), is not on either of the two lists running for the election on 14/12/2024 (Philippe Diallo, outgoing president, and Pierre Samsonoff, former deputy director general of the FFF and the LFA, have each submitted a list) and is therefore preparing to leave the Federation.
