FC Bayern Munich: Michael Diederich proposed to replace J-C. Dreesen on the DFL executive committee

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) has proposed Michael Diederich, chief financial officer, to join the Deutsche Fußball Liga's executive committee, announced the club on 15/11/2024.

The club has proposed the man who is also its executive vice chairman to replace Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO and chairman of the board at FC Bayern Munich. Dreesen, who was granted an early extension until 30/06/2027 following a unanimous decision by Bayern's supervisory board on 11/11, has announced that he will be stepping down from his position with the German league on 15/11/2024.

"After careful consideration, I have decided to resign from my position on the DFL executive committee. The increased demands of my role as CEO of FC Bayern Munich and my international duties as vice chair of the European Club Association (ECA) require my full attention. I have therefore informed my colleagues in the DFL accordingly and would like to thank them all most sincerely for their many years of constructive cooperation and their understanding of my personal decision," said Jan-Christian Dreesen.
