UEFA (Union of European Football Associations, FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) and Chelsea FC condemned, on 18/02/2015, the racist acts of English fans before the Paris SG-Chelsea match (1-1, round of 16 of the Champions League on 17/01/2015.) Many Chelsea supporters pushed a black passenger from a train on the Paris metro and then sang racist chants at the station Richelieu-Drouot before the match.

"Such behaviour is abhorrent and has no place in football or society. We will support any criminal action against those involved in such behaviour, and should evidence point to the involvement of Chelsea season ticket holders or members the club will take the strongest possible action against them including banning orders," said Chelsea FC.

"We are appalled by this incident [but] as it occurred away from the stadium it is outside Uefa's remit to act," in comments to the BBC on 18/02/2015. An investigation was opened by the Paris prosecutor on charges of "racially motivated assault."

In the UK, Chelsea have second largest number of fans banned from the stadium (91)
