Sky: distribution agreement extended with Prime Video in the UK, Ireland, Italy & DACH region

Sky has extended its "long-term" agreement with Amazon for the distribution of the Prime Video platform via its services in the UK, Ireland, Italy and for the DACH region, announced the telecoms operator on 18/11/2024.

"The new deal builds on the existing partnership to ensure that Sky customers can continue to enjoy access to Prime Video’s Premier League football and the UEFA Champions League," said Sky.

Prime Video holds the exclusive TV rights in the UK to 20 Premier League matches per season over the 2022-2025 cycle. The platform also owns the TV rights to the Champions League in this territory (Tuesday night fixture, 2024-2027), as well as in Italy (Wednesday night fixture, 2024-2027) and Germany (Tuesday night fixture, 2024-2027).
