Manchester United FC: total revenue of £143.1m & a net profit of £1.4m for 1^st quarter of 2024-25

Manchester United FC (Premier League) has posted a total revenue of £143.1m (€171.4m) for the first quarter of the 2024-25 financial year (01/07 to 30/09/2024), down 8.9% on the same period in 2023-24 (£157.1m/€181.3m), according to the club on 26/11/2024.

All revenue streams are down:
• commercial revenues amount to £85.3m, or 59.6% of total revenue over the period, down 5.6% on 2023-24 due to a shorter summer tour of the United States;
• TV rights revenue down 20.4% to £31.3m (21.9% of total), a decline explained by the club's participation in the new Europa League league phase in 2024-25, compared with the Champions League the previous year;
• matchday revenues of £26.5m (18.5% of the total), down 3.3%, with three fewer matches played at Old Trafford (Manchester, ENG) by 30/09/2024.

Despite this decline in non-transfer revenue, the club posted a positive net result of £1.4m (€1.7m), compared with a loss of £25.8m (€29.7m) on 30/09/2023.
