EFL/CBS: partnership with Cosm to broadcast matches in shared reality in the United States

The English Football League and US broadcast group CBS (Paramount Global) have entered into a partnership with technology and entertainment company Cosm to broadcast matches from EFL competitions in "shared reality" in the USA from December 2024, announced the English league on 27/11/2024.

"The partnership will see a minimum of six Sky Bet EFL matches broadcast, commencing 03/12/2024 (see list below), with a further additional EFL match at Cosm to be announced at a later date," said the EFL.

Cosm's two complexes are located in Los Angeles, California and Dallas, Texas. "Cosm is the new and innovative experience, broadcasting and replicating live sports events within a theatre, cinema or auditorium environment on a 180-degree, domed screen," explained the EFL.
