TF1: €2.09bn in turnover (+0.8%) and €412.7m net profit (+201.2%) in 2014

The French TV group TF1 had a turnover of €2,091.8m for the 2014 fiscal year (from 01/01 to 31/12/2014), a slight increase of 0.8% compared to 2013 (€2,075.3m), announced the group on 19/02/2015. Non-advertising revenue (€516.3m) increased by 7.3% compared to 2013 (€481m), a €35.3m increase: this amount includes €30m from the resale of 2014 World Cup (Brazil, from 12/06 to 13/07/2014) TV rights to the pay-TV group beIN Sports France as well as €1.6m of additional revenues from the sale of images from the competition to other French channels.

"Even though the cost of programmes included €73.7 million for screening the 2014 FIFA World Cup, current operating profit fell by only €30.2m, reaching €116.5m for the year as a whole," said TF1 on 19/02/2015. This represents a decrease of 20.6% compared to 2013 (€146.7m). The TF1 Group's net profit rose to €412.7m on 31/12/2014, a sizeable increase of 201.2% compared to 2013 (€137m).
