UEFA Children's Foundation: €5m allocated to 72 projects in 2025, including 41 outside Europe

UEFA, via its Children's Foundation, has allocated a budget of €5m to 72 projects aimed at using
"the power of football to transform the lives of millions of children" in 2025, according the European Confederation on 02/12/2024. More than half of the projects selected (41, or 57%) are being carried out outside Europe, and all of the projects funded will benefit a total of 80 countries.

"The grants have been awarded following a call for projects which focus on one of ten areas - access to sport, personal development, healthy lifestyle, children with disabilities, conflict victims, gender equality, employability, infrastructure and equipment, environmental protection and strengthening partnerships. These are aligned with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the UN Sustainable Development Goals," explained UEFA.

The UEFA Children's Foundation has conducted an annual call for projects since its creation in 2015 to award grants "to football- and sport-related projects run by charities, as well as humanitarian, non-governmental and non-profit organisations," added the body…
