FIFA: Bank of America, sponsor of the 2026 World Cup, extends agreement to the 2025 Club World Cup

US banking group Bank of America has extended its partnership with FIFA to become an official partner of the 2025 Club World Cup, announced the international federation on 03/12/2024, two days before the draw for the competition, scheduled to take place in Miami (USA) on 05/12/2024.

"Through this agreement, FIFA and Bank of America have committed to working together to support the growth of the global game and the tournament’s impact on football fans of all ages, abilities and backgrounds," said the body. The banking group is the third brand to sign up as a second level partner of the competition (behind the FIFA partners), after the Chinese electronics manufacturer Hisense and the Belgian brewing group AB InBev.

Bank of America initially became the first partner from the banking sector to commit to FIFA, as an official partner (2^nd level) of the 2026 World Cup, on 15/08/2024. This was the largest sponsorship contract ever signed by a bank for a single sporting event, according to several sources close to the matter contacted by News Tank Football.
