IOC: approx. $6.1bn (€5.8bn) redistributed over the 2021-2024 Olympiad (+12% compared to 2017-2020)

"The executive board received an update from the chairman of the Finance Commission (Singaporean Ser Miang NG). He confirmed that the IOC is on track to distribute $6.8bn (€6.5bn) for the 2021-2024 Olympiad, despite the tough economic situation, global inflation and economic hardship that have hit many other organisations," said Mark Adams, communications director at the International Olympic Committee, on the first day of the IOC executive board meeting on 03/12/2024.

This amount represents a 12% increase on the 2017-2020 Olympiad and a 45% increase on the Olympiad that followed the 2008 Beijing Games (2009-2012). 90% of this sum, or approximately $6.1bn (€5.8bn), is allocated to the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Federations (IFs), Local Organising Committees for the Games (OCOGs), athletes, the promotion of the Olympic Movement and the implementation of the Olympic Agenda.
