Emirates, an Emirates-based airline, has extended its partnership as the "official airline" (2nd level) of the Australian Open Tennis Championships for a further five editions (2025-2029), announced Tennis Australia, the tournament's organising body, on 04/12/2024.

The total allocation for this new rights cycle would be AU$35m (€21.6m), or AU$7m a year (€4.3m), according to local business daily The Australian Financial Review.

As part of the agreement, the Emirates group is joining forces with the Australian Tennis Foundation through its "Emirates Force for Good" programme: "Emirates is investing AU$2.25m (€2.14m) over five years to inspire brighter futures for disadvantaged children and young people through tennis, across five key Australian cities," according to the local federation.

Emirates, which is also a sponsor of the three other Grand Slam tournaments, the ATP Tour and around 60 tennis tournaments, has been partnered with the Australian Open since 2015.

  • The 2025 Australian Open will be held at Melbourne Park in Melbourne from 12 to 26/01/2025.
