LFP: amendment to the statutes concerning sponsorship of independent members of the board

The LFP's general assembly held on 05/12/2024 adopted a number of amendments to its statutes "following proposals from the board of directors on 14/11," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel the same day.

"The first proposal adopted concerns the modification of sponsorship for independent members of the board of directors with effect from 2028. The three independent positions will no longer require dual sponsorship. From now on, the three independent positions on the board of directors will require a single sponsorship from the FFF, Foot Unis and the UAF. One independent position will be guaranteed for the one proposed by the FFF, another for Foot Unis and another for UAF, but each organisation will be able to sponsor several candidates in the vote at the general meeting," explained the French League.
