"Microphones by the benches and more access to the professional footballers directly before the games. That's at the top of our list. I understand that not everyone will immediately agree with these wishes. However, I hope we can agree that football can learn from other sports on how to connect with fans and offer them something. Many young fans have a closer bond with individual players than with clubs," said Alice Mascia, CEO of DAZN DACH, to the German daily Bild on 10/12/2024.

"We have to find a mutual understanding with the clubs that this is not about doing us a favour, but about offering our own fans more and ultimately benefiting ourselves. If Formula 1 drivers can still give interviews shortly before a race in which mistakes can be fatal, then footballers should be able to do the same. Sport needs dramatic, emotional moments," added Mascia.
