LFP: "Trophée des Champions Visit Qatar" to be held at the Stade 974 in Doha (QAT) on 05/01/2025

"The 30^th edition of the Trophée des Champions will take place on Sunday 05/01/2025 (19:30 local time, 17:30 CET) in Doha (QAT), and will benefit for the first time from a title partner, Visit Qatar, the national body in charge of developing and promoting tourism in Qatar," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 12/12/2024.

The match will pit the 2023-24 Ligue 1 McDonald's champions and Coupe de France winners Paris Saint-Germain against Ligue 1 runners-up AS Monaco FC at Doha's Stadium 974 (45,000 capacity). Inaugurated in 2021, the stadium hosted seven matches at the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar (six group stage matches and in the Round of 16).

The match will be organised "with the support of the Qatar Local Organising Committee in charge of football-related events" and will be broadcast "in many countries" and by the British OTT platform DAZN in France.

The 2024 edition of the Trophée des Champions was originally scheduled to take place in Beijing (CHN) on 08/08/2024, but had to be postponed following its cancellation by the Chinese authorities.
