Tottenham: the High Court of Justice rejects a challenge to the sale of land for the future stadium

The British High Court rejected a challenge from Archway Sheet Metal Works Ltd (steel), in respect to the sale of a parcel of land located in Northumberland, to the club Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League), on 20/02/2015. Tottenham wants to build a 56,000-seat stadium partly located on the current site of White Hart Lane Stadium (36,200 seats).

"While there is still therefore a possibility of a further appeal, the hope must be that this High Court decision will now allow us to progress what is widely recognised as the flagship development in the regeneration of Tottenham," said the English club on 20/02/2015.

The club hopes to inaugurate the stadium in mid-2018. The overall project is estimated at £350m (€309m).
