Germany/DFB: Deutsche Telekom renews & extends partnership with the national teams until 2026

Telecommunications operator Deutsche Telekom has renewed its role as an official partner (2^nd level) of the German men's national team until 2026, and has extended its agreement to cover the women's and U21 teams, announced the Deutscher Fussball Bund on 12/12/2024. The two parties have been linked since 2005.

This extended agreement, which will cover the 2026 World Cup in particular, also aims to support the development of amateur football in Germany. To this end, the two partners are rolling out a system enabling clubs to stream their matches and training sessions using AI and Deutsche Telekom's 4G/5G network. Over 100 clubs will be equipped, free of charge and for two years, with a camera supplied by German production company Sporttotal, which will also enable them to "analyse training sessions and evaluate performance data," explained the DFB.
