• As part of Portugal's bid to co-host the 2030 World Cup (with Spain and Morocco), SL Benfica (Liga Portugal Betclic ) is planning to expand the capacity of the Estádio da Luz from 64,642 to 70,000.
• Real Valladolid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) closed the 2023-24 financial year with a net profit of €181,121 and forecasts a turnover of €58.6m in 2024-25.
• Pay-TV group Astro has extended its exclusive broadcasting rights in Malaysia for the Premier League and the Emirates FA Cup for the 2025-2028 cycle.
• LALIGA has won its case against the Chinese company Super Sports Media (owned by the Chinese sports and entertainment multinational Wuhan DDMC), which had not paid the Spanish league €45m for the TV rights to LALIGA EA Sports in China for the 2021-22 season.
• Nexen Tire, a South Korean tyre manufacturer, is to become a "gold partner" (3^rd level) of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) as part of a "long-term agreement" from the 2024-25 season, announced the club on 12/12/2024.
