Premier League: Canal+ acquires exclusive TV rights in Poland for the 2025-2028 cycle

The pay and free-TV group Canal+ has acquired the full and exclusive broadcasting rights to the Premier League in Poland for the 2025-2028 cycle (three seasons), announced the French group on 13/12/2024. The subsidiary of Vivendi has also obtained these rights in Myanmar for the same period.

Canal+ currently holds the non-exclusive broadcasting rights in Poland to two Premier League game per matchday until 2024-25 under a sub-licensing agreement with the Swedish audiovisual group Viaplay. Viaplay initially held the entire TV rights to the Premier League for the 2022-2028 cycle, but decided to withdraw from the Polish market in 2025 due to poor financial performance and in order to "concentrate its activities in the Nordic countries and the Netherlands."
