Italy/Lega Serie B: Paolo Bedin, former director general of Lega Pro, named president

Paolo Bedin (55), director general of the Lega Pro since June 2023, has been elected president of Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie B, the national professional league that organises the Serie BKT, at the league's general assembly in Milan (Lombardy, ITA) on 16/12/2024.

The man who is also a member of the European Leagues board of directors and who previously held the position of director general of the Lega Serie B (from 2010 to 2018) succeeds Mauro Balata. Balata was elected for a first term in 2017 before being re-elected in 2021. Mauro Balata was standing for re-election against Paolo Bedin and Vittorio Veltroni.

The following are appointed members of the Lega Serie B board:
• Vice-president: Luigi De Laurentiis (president of SSC Bari, Serie B);
• Independent members: Enrico Mambelli and Andrea Sartori;
• Club representatives: Andrea Corradino, Francesco Dini, Filippo Piccoli, Carmelo Salerno and Matteo Manfredi.
