Milano Cortina 2026: call for tenders for European media rights to the Paralympic Games

The International Paralympic Committee has announced the launch of a call for tenders for the broadcasting rights in Europe to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, on 17/12/2024.

Broadcasters have until 24/01/2025 to express their interest. The rights available include free-to-air and pay-TV broadcasting, digital platforms and radio. The worldwide broadcasting rights for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games were initially transferred to the Organising Committee as part of the contract with the host city. However, the IPC was subsequently appointed exclusive agent for the marketing of the event's TV rights.

"For the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games up to 300 hours of live coverage will be available to Media Rights Holders who can expect a similar level of coverage to the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games. Complementing the live coverage will be a range of digital content that rights holders can utilise across all TV and online channels before, during and after the Winter Games," explained the IPC.
