Belgium: DAZN extends its broadcasting rights to Pro League competitions for the 2025-2030 cycle

The OTT platform DAZN has extended its exclusive full domestic broadcasting rights to Pro League competitions (Jupiler Pro League, Challenger Pro League, Croky Cup, Supercup, Lotto Super League) for the 2025-2030 cycle, announced the Belgian league on 19/12/2024.

The VRT (Dutch-language) and RTBF (French-language) groups have been granted radio rights for the same period. "By granting these media rights, the Pro League is securing at least €84.2m in revenue per season from DAZN, VRT and RTBF. On top of this, the Pro League is entitled to a share of DAZN's additional revenues. The international media and streaming rights will be awarded at the beginning of 2025," said the Pro League.

The Belgian league's general assembly decided on 22/11 not to award any lots and to postpone its decision on the acquisition of TV rights for its competitions until 2025-2030. The call for tenders was launched on 09/09 and the deadline for submitting bids was 16/10/2024.
