2023-24 LALIGA EA Sports: €1.351bn in TV rights received by clubs, including €162.49m for Barça

LALIGA EA Sports clubs received €1.351bn in net revenue from the audiovisual rights to the Spanish championship for the 2023-24 season, according to data published by the Spanish League on 18/12/2024.

A total of €1.498bn was redistributed to the clubs in LALIGA EA Sports (20 clubs) and LALIGA Hypermotion (22 clubs), minus 8.5% in solidarity payments (3% paid to the Spanish government, 2.5% to a compensation fund for relegated clubs, 2% to the RFEF and 1% to LALIGA).

At €162.49m, FC Barcelona is the club that received the highest amount, ahead of Real Madrid CF (€159.55m). While Real Madrid were crowned Spanish champions at the end of the 2023-24 season and therefore received the highest amount relating to sporting performance, their Catalan rivals received higher payments in respect of the sums allocated to clubs on the basis of their "social reach" (revenue from the sale of season tickets, average ticket sales over the last five seasons and contribution to the generation of resources from the marketing of TV broadcasts).
