"The Serie A championship will not be distorted. It is in the interest of all that Parma FC can finish the competition. I think the club and the league will make sure to avoid a disaster," said Carlo Tavecchio, president of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation), on 22/02/2015. The Lega Serie A (organiser of the Italian first division) could bear the expenses necessary to enable the Parma club to finish the season. Bankruptcy and the disappearance of the club during the season would grant the club's last 15 opponents to win their matches against by forfeit (3-0).

The president of the Italian Federation said that it was he who decided to postpone the Parma FC - Udinese Calcio match (Matchday 24 of the Serie A), scheduled for 22/02/2015. "The prefect of Parma had said that the match could be played behind closed doors (due to lack of money to pay for security personnel). At the request of the players, who are humiliated and have not paid for weeks, I have postponed the game."
