Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 McDonald's) auctioned the shirts worn by its players during the Round of 64 in the Coupe de France versus AS Saint-Étienne (4-0 victory for OM) on the MatchWornShirt platform, a partner of the club, at the end of the game on Sunday 22/12/2024.

The money raised through this initiative will be donated by "Treizième Homme" (Thirteenth Man), the club's CSR programme, to Secours populaire français (French Popular Relief, NGO) "which works in Mayotte with its local charity partners". This auction was organised eight days after Mayotte was hit by cyclone Chido on Saturday 14/12. The archipelago, which was declared to be in a "state of exceptional natural disaster" by a decree dated 18/12 published in the Journal officiel on 19/12, has probably suffered "the most serious natural disaster in the history of France for several centuries," according to Prime Minister of France François Bayrou on 18/12. The official death toll provisionally stood at 35 on 21/12.
