The Genoa CFC - Parma FC fixture (Matchday 25 of the Serie A TIM), scheduled Sunday, 03/01/2015 has been postponed to a later date, decided Carlo Tavecchio, president of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) at the request of the players from Parma, supported by the AIC (Italian Players' Union) and IACA (Italian Coaches Association), on 27/02/2015.

FC Parma, currently in last place in the Serie A, has a total debt of €197.4m. A court hearing for the possible bankruptcy of the club is scheduled for 19/03/2015, but motions for a fraudulent bankruptcy procedure should be opened in court prior to that date. "We requested the postponement of the match in Genoa. If we do not get it, we will strike," said Alessandro Lucarelli, team captian of Parma FC, on 27/02/2015. Many Parma FC players have not received their wages in months.

"The players are not in condition to play a match in the Serie A," said Damiano Tommasi, spokesman for the AIC.
