"I will become the paid president of En Avant from the 2015-16 season," announced Bertrand Desplat, who is current the president (a role for which he is not paid) of En Avant de Guingamp (Ligue 1) on 27/02/2015. Bertrand Desplat has been the president of the Breton club since June 2011, and also announced that he has resigned as the CEO of Fipêche, a subsidiary of the Le Graët group which specialises in the purchase and initial processing of fishing products, a post that he has held since 2001.

"The club has changed a lot in the last four years. We needed to modernise its operating structures and the CEO of a SASP (public limited sports company) needd to expend even more time and energy organising the club so that it can continue to progress," said Bertrand Desplat to the French daily newspaper Le Télégramme on 27/02/2015.

  • "I have left the Le Graët and Fipêche group, but this is a personal choice. I leave it in an excellent condition. There is absolutely no tension with anyone, especially Noël Le Graët, with whom I get along very well," said Bertrand Desplat on 27/02/2015.
