Bulgaria: Levski Sofia open sale of shares in the club to its supporters

PFC Levski Sofia (Bulgarian first division) has opened the sale of shares in the to club to supporters, the club announced on 24/02/2015. Fans who buy shares in the capital city club will receive them from the stake held by majority owner Todor Batkov. Monies raised by this sale will go into the club, and will not go to Todor Batkov.

"Shares will be available in packs of 100, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000, or 1,000,000 shares, each with a nominal value of 1 Bulgarian Lev (approximately €0.50), or multiples of these numbers, depending on the size of the donation in favour of PFC Levski AD," stated a press release from Levski Sofia.

This sale of shares campaign, titled "Levski is yours", will end of 24/05/2015.

  • Todor Batkov owns 18.5 million shares of Levski Sofia as an individual, plus another 10 million shares in the club through a Cypriot-based company Digeraso Limited.
    • Batkov indicated he wishes to remain a minority shareholder of Levski Sofia.
