Topps, the American manufacturer of collectible cards and stickers, has acquired the official licensing rights for the Champions League and Europa League for three seasons (2015-16 to 2017-18), announced UEFA (Union of European Associations Football) on 26/02/2015. Topps will replace its main competitor, the Italian company Panini, which is under contract with the European body in 2014-15.

"The sticker and trading card games are a great way for UEFA to connect and engage with young fans around the world. Topps offer exciting and innovative digital solutions to complement the traditional physical products, and will make a strong contribution," said Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director of UEFA Events SA.

  • Topps has distributed collectible sports cards since 1951.
  • Topps is also under contract with the Bundesliga from 2015-16 to 2018-19, and also has an agreement with the Barclays Premier League.
