UEFA: election of president & 7 members of the Executive Committee at Vienna Congress on 24/03/2015

The election of the president and seven members of the executive committee of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) are on the agenda -- which was published on 27/02/2015 -- for the European body's 39^th Congress, which will be hosted in Vienna (AUT) on 24/03/2015.

Michel Platini, who has been the president of UEFA since 2007 and was re-elected in 2011, is the only candidate for the presidency (the application deadline was 24/12/2014, three months before the Congress, in accordance with the Statutes of UEFA). The UEFA Congress will also elect four members to the FIFA executive committee, with the current members in terms that are soon to expire. Michel Platini, as he is guaranteed to be re-elected as the president of UEFA, will automatically be a vice-president of FIFA for the 2015-2019 period.
