La Liga: Valencia CF launch its own radio station, "VCF Radio", broadcast in Valencian dialect

Valencia CF (Liga BBVA) launched "VCF Radio," its own radio station, on the occasion of the club's match against Real Sociedad (2-0, Matchday 25 of La Liga) on 01/03/2015.

"The (launch) date coincides with the anniversary of the founding meeting of Valencia CF, held on 01/03/1919, 96 years ago. The radio station is a project with a clear vocation of providing a service to Valencianistas," said the club in a press release on its website.

The main language of VCF Radio will be the Valencian dialect spoken in the region of Valencia. The club also broadcasts programmes and match summaries via its WebTV platform VCFPlay.com.

• Listeners in the Valencia region can access the VCF Radio programmes on the FM band ( frequency 101.5).
