Brazil: Santos FC partners with Air France, which will show their WebTV programmes on its flights

Santos FC (Brazilian Serie A) has partnered with the airline Air France, which will broadcast the club's WebTV programmes on its flights, announced the former club of Pelé and Neymar on 25/02/2015.

A 30-minute programme, produced by Santos TV, will be available on all long-haul flights operated by Air France. The first Santos TV pieces will be integrated with the airline's sports programming from April 2015.

  • Air France carries an average of 1.3 million long haul passengers per month.
  • The company offers two daily flights to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and three weekly flights to the capital, Brasilia, from the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris (FRA).

Air France - KLM: no World Cup effect in Brazil

  • "The effect of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil (from 12/06 to 13/07/2014) was not particularly marked," stated the Franco-Dutch airline group Air France-KLM to News Tank on 10/07/2014.
  • Long-haul flights to and from America generated traffic amounting to 979,000 passengers in June 2014 for Air France-KLM.
