Scotland: New Balance will officially replace Nike as the kit supplier to Celtic FC in June 2015

The American sportswear company New Balance will officially replace Nike as the kit supplier supplier to Celtic FC (SCO) in June 2015, the club announced on 05/03/2015.

The deal was described as the "biggest sponsorship deal ever (...) in Scottish football" by Peter Lawwell, the CEO of Celtic FC. Nike had extended its partnership with the Glasgow club for €6.5m a year in the summer of 2010. The agreement began in the 2005-06 season.

• New Balance announced its entry into the European football shirt market on 05/02/2015.
  • New Balance will replace its subsidiary brand, Warrior Sports, as the kit supplier to Liverpool FC, Stoke City FC (Barclays Premier League), Sevilla FC (Liga BBVA) and FC Porto (Liga NOS, Portuguese first division) from the 2015-16 season.
