France: strong suspicion of match-fixing "agreement" in Ligue 2 at end of 2013-14 season (report)

"Our findings clearly go in the direction of an agreement before the match" between SM Caen (Ligue 1 in 2014-15, Ligue 2 in 2013-14) and Nîmes Olympique (Ligue 2) -- 1-1, Matchday 28 of Ligue 2 on 13/05/2014 -- wrote François Jaspart, a former head of the judicial police in Paris (FRA), in his report to the Disciplinary Committee of the LFP (French Professional Football League), and quoted by L'Equipe on 05/03/2015.

This 50-page report should be used by the Disciplinary Committee of the LFP when it examines the 2013-14 Ligue 2 match-fixing case on 16 and 17/03/2015. The case is also being handled in the French legal system, and has led to the indictments of six persons, notably including Serge Kasparian, the majority owner of Nîmes Olympique, and the club presidents of Caen and Nîmes, Jean-François Fortin and Jean-Marc Conrad, respectively.
