AFC: Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa is the only candidate for president at 26th Congress, 30/04/2015

Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (Bahrain), who has been the president of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) since 2013, will be the only candidate in the presidential elections at the body's 26th Congress in Manama (Bahrain) on 30/04/2015.

Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, 49 years old, was elected for a two year term as president of the AFC on 02/05/2013 at the Congress held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). He replaced Mohamed Bin Hammam (Qatar), who was banned for life by FIFA in 2011 for violating its ethics code.

The current president will be re-elected for four years (2015-2019).
