MLS: Audi replaces Volkswagen as the official automotive partner of the league until 2018

The German brand Audi, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, has replaced Volkswagen as the automobile partner of MLS (Major League Soccer, USA-CAN) from the 2015 season until the 2018 season, announced the league on 06/03/2015.

The brand has also become the main partner of the MLS Play-offs and can also activate its rights during the MLS All-Star Game. The German brand's slogan "Gooooal" will be displayed on advertising boards inside the stadiums when goals are scored during the season. Audi unveiled the video "The Game" to announce the partnership.

  • In April 2015, Audi will choose the agency that will assist it with its marketing campaigns for MLS markets.
  • The brand reportedly has a budget of $9m (€8.25m) for campaigns over the four years of the contract.
