"The superior financial power of the English is not going to encourage those who already least respect the rules and constraints of UEFA to improve, such as with the international calendar. It should not be excluded that in the event of heavy discord, the English could decide to secede. Which would be tragic for football," stated Bernard Caïazzo, chairman of the supervisory board of AS Saint-Étienne (Ligue 1) to News Tank on 10/03/2015.
