1. FC Köln (Bundesliga) used the new application Meerkat to live-stream a training session to its fans directly on the micro-blogging website Twitter, on 12/03/2015.

The club announced and opened the live-stream event at its Geißbockheim training centre via a tweet directly to its followers on Twitter at 15:25 CET (Central European Time) on 12/03/2015. The event was watched by 30 people, according to data on Meerkat. Five Twitter followers of FC Köln tweeted about the club's event during the live-stream.
