The 58 matches of the men's (16 teams) and women's (12 teams) football tournaments for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be played in six cities and seven stadiums from 03 to 20/08/2016, announced the FIFA organising committee on 16/03/2015.

The seven stadiums are: the Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brasilia, (68,000 seats), the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro (73,500 seats), the Amazônia Arena in Manaus (42,300 seats), the Corinthians Arena in São Paulo (47,000 seats), Mineirão Stadium in Belo Horizonte (57,480 seats), the Fonte Nova Arena in Salvador (48,700 seats) and the Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro (47,000 seats).

Only the Olympic Stadium was not one of the host stadiums for the 2014 World Cup. All of these facilities are delivered and operational more than a year ahead of the Rio Olympics. The final match schedule will be confirmed in the "near future," stated FIFA.
