Schalke 04: €215.3m turnover (+4.1%) and €4.2m net profit in 2014, -8% of debt

FC Schalke 04 (Bundesliga) achieved a turnover of €215.3m in the 2014 financial year (from 01/01 to 31/12/2014), an increase of €8.5m, +4.1% compared to 2013 (€206.8m), the club announced on 16/03/2015. This is the second highest turnover in the history of Schalke 04 (founded on 04/05/1904), after 2011 (€224.2m), when Schalke reached the semi-finals of the 2010-11 Champions League and won the 2010-11 DFB-Pokal.

The two sources of income that increased the most between 2013 and 2014 are audiovisual rights (from €64.3m to €70.9m, +10 3%) and sponsorship (from €63.9m to €67.2m, +5.1%). FC Schalke 04 recorded a net profit of €4.2m on 31/12/2014, more than nine times that achieved a year earlier (€456,928.81). During the 2014 year, the Gelsenkirchen club reduced its financial debt by €14.2m, from €178.1m in 2013 to €163.9m on 31/12/2014, which is an 8% decrease in the space of 12 months.

The annual report and 2014 detailed accounts of FC Schalke 04 will be released on 20/03/2015.
