Brazil: Under Armour becomes the kit supplier of São Paulo FC (2015-2019)

The American brand Under Armour has become the kit supplier of São Paulo FC (Brazilian Serie A) for the 2015-2019 period, the club announced on 17/03/2015. Under Armour will present new shirts of the club a few days before the start of the 2015 season, which begins on 09/05/2015.

The contract is estimated at 135m reais (€39m), or 27 million reais (€7.8m) per season, including sports equipment for the club. São Paulo FC also negotiated with the German brand Puma for several months.

The São Paulo club was equipped by the Brazilian brand Penalty in 2014. The contract was due to expire at the end of the 2015 season, but the club wanted to put an early end to the agreement. The club criticised Penalty for delays in the delivery of products. São Paulo is liable to a fine of 2.25m reais (€0.76m) for this early termination.
