The MLS franchise Seattle Sounders FC extended its agreement to play at CenturyLink Field (67,000 seats) until 2028, announces the club on 16/03/2015.

The agreement was finalised with the company First & Goal Inc., which has operated the stadium since its inauguration in 2002. First & Goal Inc. is owned by Paul Allen, a minority owner of the Sounders, and the owner of the Seattle Seahawks NFL franchise, who are the primary tenant of the stadium designed for American football.

With 43,734 average spectators in 2014, the Seattle Sounders had the best attendance in MLS. The Sounders do not open the upper-most stand levels, unlike the Seahawks. The franchise has sold out all available tickets for 109 consecutive MLS games. The capacity for Sounders matches has been increased from 38,300 seats in 2014 to 39,115 seats in 2015. However, the club increases capacity for select, premium matches.
