Euro 2016: Crédit Agricole becomes the third national sponsor of the competition

The French bank Crédit Agricole has become the third national sponsor and the official bank of Euro 2016 (finals hosted in France, from 10/06 to 10/07/2016), announced UEFA on 19/03/2015.

The bank was a partner of the organising committee of the 1998 World Cup, which was also held in France. Crédit Agricole is also partnered with the FFF for the French national teams and the Coupe de France until 2018. "The 39 regional banks of Crédit Agricole will be mobilised to share this festival of football with as many people as possible," said the bank. The contract is estimated at between €7m and €8m.

  • The SNCF (French National Society of Railways) is expected be the next national partner unveiled by UEFA, bringing the total to four out of the six available positions.
  • La Poste (post office) and Orange (telecom) are expected to be the last two national partners.
  • UEFA and CAA Eleven, its exclusive agency for marketing rights, are looking for three more worldwide partners. The price of such a partnership is estimated at more than €60m.
