2.Bundesliga: Software AG (IT) extends as the shirt sponsor of SV Darmstadt 98 until 2018

The German IT solutions company Software AG has extended its contract to remain the shirt sponsor of SV Darmstadt 98 for three additional seasons, the two parties announced on 18/03/2015. Software AG will now be present on the club's shirt through the 2017-18 season.

Financial terms of the extension were not disclosed. The Darmstadt-based company has been the main sponsor of the club since 2008. "We are proud that this important partnership for both sides will be continued. As a strong and reliable partner, Software AG has undoubtedly made a significant contribution to the development of our team," stated Rüdiger Fritsch, the president of Darmstadt 98.

• SV Darmstadt 98 is currently in 2^nd place (out of 18 teams) in the 2014-15 2.Bundesliga with 45pts after 25 matchdays.
  • The 1^st and 2^nd place finishers in the 2.Bundesliga are automatically promoted to the Bundesliga, and the 3^rd place finisher qualifies for a promotion play-off.
