Serie A: the court of Parma officially declares Parma FC bankrupt

The court of Parma has declared the Parma FC (Serie A TIM) organisation bankrupt on 19/03/2015, and has appointed two bankruptcy trustees, Angelo Anedda and Alberto Guiotto. Their mission is to takeover the club's affairs and determine if it is able to compete in the Serie A championship until the end of the 2014-15 season. The trustees will share their decision regarding Parma FC in the current Serie A season by 15/04/2015.

The court of Parma indicated that Parma FC's debt now totals €218,440,000, of which €63m is owed to players contracted with the club. Parma FC recorded €55.4m in operating losses at the end of the 2013-14 season. The total debt of the club, which was €16.1m at the end of the 2006-07 season, reached €197.4m at the end of 2013-14. The clubs in the Serie A TIM voted, on 06/03/2015, in favour of an emergency loan of €5m to Parma FC to help the club finish the 2014-15 season.
