2014-15 Champions League: 6 of 8 quarter-finalists are amongst the top 15 richest clubs

The draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League was made at the headquarters of UEFA in Nyon (Switzerland) on 20/03/2015. The first legs will be played on 14 and 15/04 and the second legs on 21 and 22/04/2015.

The 2014-15 quarter-finals will include a derby between Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA), a rematch of the 2014 final, in which Real won their 10^th Champions League title (4 -1, a.e.t), at the Luz stadium in Lisbon (Portugal) on 24/05/2014. The other matches are: Juventus (Serie A TIM) - AS Monaco FC (Ligue 1), FC Porto (Liga NOS) - FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1) - FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) .

The eight quarter-finalists of the 2014-15 edition have made up a total of 24.8% of the places in the quarter-finals of the Champions League since its first edition in 1955-56 (under the name European Champions Clubs' Cup). They also make up 32.6% of the semi-finals places, and 35.6% for the final and 39% of the titles in this competition since 1955-56.
