Premier League: average amount of €10.4m for a shirt sponsorship in 2014-15

The shirt sponsorships of the 20 Barclays Premier League amount to an estimated average of €10.4m for the 2014-15 season. In total, the various agreements of the English championship amount to €208m all together, the largest sum of all the European leagues.

The cumulative amount of the contracts recorded an overall increase of 21% in 2014-15, compared to the €172.5m total accumulated during the 2013-14 season (average of €7.3m). This increase is mainly due to the launch of the contract between the American car brand Chevrolet and Manchester United FC for an estimated amount of €51m in 2014-15. The amount of this contract will increase by 2.1% each year to reach €58m in 2020-21.

The Japanese tyre manufacturer Yokohama Rubber will replace the Korean group Samsung as the shirt sponsor to Chelsea FC (Barclays Premier League) for five seasons (2015-16 to 2019-20), announced the club on 26/02/2015.
