MLS: the league partners with Mondelez (food) and Johnson & Johnson (pharmaceuticals)

The US food group Mondelez has become the official snack provider of MLS, which has also entered into a partnership with Johnson & Johnson (pharmaceuticals), announced the league on 20/03/2015. The two agreements cover at least the 2015, 2016, and 2017 seasons.

Johnson & Johnson will use the partnership to promote its cosmetics brand Neutrogena, amongst others. The group will receive visibility on stadium advertising boards, the possibility of marketing activations, a presence in the media communications of the MLS, as well as the right to use the image of the league in its advertising. "We’re talking through this partnership with the Hispanic mom, the millennial mom and recognising that soccer is playing a huge part in their families’ lives," said Mike Marquis, the general manager of Johnson & Johnson Inc.

The group Mondelez Intenational will receive the same visibility from MLS for several of its snack brands, including Oreo, Chips Ahoy and Ritz. The group is expected to announce partnerships with several franchises in the coming weeks. Mondelez is also a partner of the U.S…
