Bundesliga: Schalke 04 launch a new application which gives Wi-Fi access in the Veltins Arena

FC Schalke 04 (Bundesliga) unveiled a new version of its mobile application whose main feature is providing Wi-Fi access in the Veltins Arena (capacity 61,973 / 54,442 seats), on 20/03/2015. The application was developed with their Chinese technology partner Huawei and the local network provider Gelsen-Net.

The Wi-Fi system is available in the stands, the walking areas, and hospitality spaces in the Veltins Arena. To connect to the stadium Wi-Fi, fans have to enter their password to access the club's "S04" connection. The application is free to download on Android and iOS and was tested during the FC Schalke 04 - Bayer 04 Leverkusen match (0-1, Matchday 26 of the Bundesliga) on 21/03/2015.
