Premier League: Claudia Arney to be an independent non-executive director from June 2015

Claudia Arney has been appointed an independent non-executive director of the board of the Premier League, the professional league which manages the English first division announced on 26/03/2015. She will officially assume the role at the next annual general meeting of the Premier League in June 2015.

Her appointment, which was proposed by the Nominations Committee of the Premier League, was approved by the 20 member clubs of the English first division, who, at the same time voted to change the governance structure of the Premier League, which was founded in 1992. Its board will move from two to three members. Kevin Beeston has also been also appointed as an independent non-executive director on the board of the Premier League, which also includes the current chief executive Richard Scudamore, who will become the executive chairman in June 2015.

Claudia Arney currently serves as member of the board of directors or independent director of four different British companies.
