ECA: "The 'perfect' club does not exist -- neither on nor off the pitch" (Karl-Heinz Rummenigge)

"The 'perfect' club does not exist -- neither on nor off the pitch. Every club is different and has its peculiarities. It is up to the readers to decide what they deem useful and/or important and how they can possibly apply some of the examples to their club model," states Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of the ECA, in his foreword to the "Club Management Guide", which will be presented at the general meeting of the ECA organised in Stockholm (Sweden) on Tuesday, 31/03/2015.

This guide is intended for 214 European member clubs of the ECA and, more generally, to all European clubs. "The ECA Club Management Guide aims to directly respond to the rapid managerial, commercial and global development of football. It offers an analysis of how football administrations across Europe are meeting the challenges that stem from these developments," states Michele Centenaro, the general secretary of the ECA, in his message introducing the guide.
